Did you ever wonder why the majority of nice, normal, healthy young women grow up from childhood into adulthood and never dabble with prostitution and yet others, the ones who are prostitutes do? I'll try to explain to you what happened.
Basically, there is one simple difference between a woman who is a civilian ( a normal regular ole woman of society) and a prostitute. The prostitute came to the position in life where she is able to sell intimacy with her self with a stranger in exchange for cash. The majority of women in society have never done that and have the mind set that they would never be able to do that. But what happened to the girl who prostitutes her self and how did she get drawn into prostitution?
My perception is that typically is originates as a social thing. Similar to how some kids smoke cigarettes and that leads into smoking marijuana and some kids never experiment with either. Typically, some where in the prostitutes life, before she ever had sex with a stranger in exchange for cash, was another prostitute who shared with her about this life style.
However, that in it self would not cause a girl to do prostitution. Just as myself, a non drug user, being aware of drug users will not cause me to take drugs. Perhaps if I hung around them long enough, I might be socially induced to try drugs, but the key thing is to be aware and avoid such things.
In the girl who is currently a prostitute, in her upbringing was a flaw or discord in her parents. Her parents may have fought more than typical and at a young age this girl perceived friction and problems in relating to the opposite sex. Later in her life, she has a boy friend or two or more and a marriage or two or more and she perceives and experiences the troubles a relationship with the opposite sex can be. (similar to what she observed in her parents) Hence therefore, she is a little jaded on the idea of having a smooth normal relationship with the opposite sex. She feels inside herself the discord that she perceived with in her parents who often argued.
Then, this is what happens later in her life.
She comes to a realization that a normal one on one boy friend / girl friend relationship is not the end all in the epitome of blissful human exchange of emotions. In other words, she's been there / done that and is not looking to meet her needs and desires with Man in the traditional sense any more.
However, she has this little problem, that problem is called, the reality of life. She DOES have interest in life and in the material things of life. She simply does not have interest in Man in the traditional sense any more. In her eyes, Man has value, but not in the normal traditional sense of relating to him as a boy friend or a mate. The woman now sees Man as a stepping stone to getting some of the material things of life that she desires.
More often than not, if the woman is between the ages of 18 and 30, those material things that she desires come in the form of party materials. In other words, cocaine, oxycodone or a plethora of other mind altering drugs. She will now have sex with strangers in order to get some cash to buy these mind altering drugs that give her an artificial sense of feeling good. She is exchanging this high for the normal interaction with a Man.
Typically, the other prostitute, between the ages of 30 to 60, is prostituting her self, not for drug money, but for advancing her position in life and surviving as a woman, but advancing in the form of prostitution as opposed to having a normal traditional career or job. In other words, her job and career becomes her body. That is her place of employment.
How did all of this happen? It happened gradually. Gradually no longer appreciating men for intrinsic value reasons, but for seeing man in a capitalistic manner. A manner in which the woman realizes she has some thing of value that men want (her body and sex) and she is willing to give it in exchange for some thing she wants (cash, which transforms into material things or drugs)
Many prostitutes are not 100% sold out into prostitution. These women have a part time or full time job and only do prostitution on the side part time. They are a quasi example of what I described in the paragraphs above. They have one foot in the door to the prostitution life style and the other foot is in the door of normal traditional civilian life. What motivates them to be a prostitute? Always, it is the fact that their traditional civilian career or job does not pay the hourly wage that having sex with strangers does. She can make much more $$$ in an hour of offering her body sexually than she can doing her regular job. It is as simple as that.
Here is where the slight problem for society comes. Typically these women do seek a relationship with the opposite sex, some times even while they are pursuing this life of prostitution. IMO (in my opinion), once a woman has crossed the threshold into trying prostitution, she is forever damaged for life. Typically she either has a mean dominatrix attitude or most always becomes a problem or has difficulty in relating to men in the simple old fashioned traditional manner. Similar to her parents, she just can't relate to men with out arguing or having discord. This causes her to drink or drug more and to perhaps turn more tricks and do more prostitution.
The end result is that you have a woman in society who is a compromised woman. She is not really happy as a prostitute. Drugs don't really make her happy. Relationships don't make her happy. She has to keep this whole side of her life secret from her family. She has to keep this whole side of her life secret from the Law and govt. If she ever wants to have a normal traditional relationship with a man again, she has to keep her life of prostitution secret from him too.
So what do many prostitutes do? They have boy friend / girl friend relationships with Johns. The John understands her and her life style much more than civilian normal traditional society does. However, the John is sold out on normal traditional life too. He too does not want the problems of Woman. He primarily wants her for sexual pleasure.
Here is where the advancement and complications come in. Here you have a woman who has prostituted her self and a man who sees prostitutes because he doesn't want the inherent problems that come with relating to a woman in the traditional sense and these two humans are trying to relate to each other. OMG (oh my God), what a combination in society!!! :)
The answer? The solution? John 3:16 For God loved you so much that He gave His one and only son, who died on the cross for our sins. Seek yee the kingdom of God and stop trying to find happiness and meaning in the things of this world.
